LOST: Ben-centric

If you have seen last night's episode of LOST, this quote from zap2it.com sums up exactly what I thought while watching.

"Later on, Ben walks into an empty principal's office, folder in hand. He lifts Reynolds' nameplate briefly off his desk, at which point I may or may not have actually yelled, "SO HELP ME GOD IF YOU SOLD HER OUT AGAIN I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF" which I guess means I was invested in his decision."

I also yelled out "CHARLES WIDMORE! OMG!" at the end.

Oscars....

First I have to say I really liked Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin doing the hosting....the writing was quick, to the point, and then it moved on.

Second, as nice as it was to have people marched out to say something nice about the best actor and actress nominees, IT TOOK FOREVER. On award shows that drag, anyway, this part was ridiculous! I must give credit it for it being something new and original, ...but cut something else to make time for this if you want to keep doing it.

Third, I didnt see the point of the interpretive dance portion, either. But I freakin LOVED IT. Just because that group had been on SYTYCD, and includes SYTYCD dancers, and they are awesome! (the only reality show I really get into) I just didnt see the relevance....

Fourth, I could not believe Sandra Bullock won over Meryl Streep. Im not basing that on any expertise on their movies...I havent seen either one of them. There has just been so much talk about Meryl Streep and how many times she has been nominated, and this is her year, etc. I was actually shocked. Sandra was BEAUTIFUL, though!

Fifth, Did I miss Farrah Fawcett, or was she left off the tribute?? Am I crazy? It is totally okay if the answer is yes!

Fave dresses:
Rachel McAdams - so original with the colors and pattern. She looked like a painting
Penelope Cruz - the color was amazing!
Sandra Bullock
Helen Mirren
Kristin Stewart - even though the deep, dark blue was a bit much, still a beautiful dress

P.S. Chris Pine was looking GOOD in his tux. :)
P.S.S. Demi Moore is morphing into Jennifer Connelly's twin. I swear they kept mislabeling whoever the hell that was.
P.S.S.S. Can someone tell me what was up with George Clooney looking pissed off the entire time?? I feel like I wasnt let in on a running gag.

Whew...

This morning has already been super long!! I got up to go running in the apt gym, but when I got over there they had turned the power off to the room. No treadmill. The streets surrounding my apt arent the safest to run on, so I could have driven over to Tanglewood, but by the time I walked to the opposite side of the complex to get to the gym, figured out it wasnt working, walked back, that left my no freakin time to go anywhere. Grrrr. Jerks. And now it is raining, so I hope they have it turned on by this afternoon!

Satisfying Saturday...

Im all about the alliteration lately. Ha!

I went running last night at Memorial, and again this morning with Vega. My body was way too tired to do THAT much running with her, but at least it was something. Tomorrow is my rest day...whew! Thank goodness!

I got a ton of errands done today, as well. Library, Target, grocery store, Academy...even got to stop and see Bobbie and Herm for a minute. I love busy, productive days like today.

Hope everyone has a good rest of the weekend!

Sleep...

This is hilarious...this is an iPhone program that records how you are sleeping by your movement. This is the night after I had been up till four....I was OUT the next night! Hilarious!!

And this isnt just random....it is really meant to be an alarm clock that notes your sleep cycles, and starts to wake you up when you are already starting to move around and wake up by yourself. The theory that if you are waking up on your own, you wake up more rested than if you jump out of a deep sleep when the alarm goes off. I just think the sleep cycle recording part is interesting....dont care much about this alarm.

Friday...whoo hoo!

That's all I really have at the moment. :)

Im going running after work. It was weird to sleep in a bit today!

My version of candy. Yum yum!

My grandma has a byline!

In other news....my grandma is now a published journalist. In the past few years she has taken to writing down stories of things that have happened during her life. Things that happened to her, and in the town of Warren, and in Tyler County. A woman at the church got ahold of them, and now they are being printed in the Tyler County Booster in a section called "Memories of Tyler County". SO VERY COOL. I cant wait to get my copies!! Im so proud of her! My grandma has a byline. :)

Morning!

Running today was an experience. Im running by time right now instead of staring at the number of laps I have completed on the treadmill. It is a mental thing. Today I added five minutes to my timer...and I completed it, but whew! Tired. Ha. I judge how hard I push myself by how long my face stays red...and I almost had to wear foundation to work! Im definitely a heavy-breathing, red-faced runner. Always have been. I go past five steps and I sound like Im having an asthma attack and look like a cherry tomato. I can honestly say that once during a track meet in high school, I actually had a competitor ask me if I was okay during the mile run! Ha! I didnt answer...just passed her up. :)

LOST!

Is anybody else finding this last season of LOST super creepy and kind of scary?? I sure am! Claire scares the hell out of me. And man, last night was on the edge of gruesome with all the people dying in the temple. Another awesome episode, though!

Also, I had to watch the new show Parenthood last night. This one has been super  hyped up, so I was prepared to be disappointed. It was actually good. It probably helps that I really like most of the cast, but the story itself was really good, I thought.
