This weekend was a night out for Elodie’s birthday…so why do I have a picture of Jenny and I up?? To prove that she was there! That she and I were actually at the same place, at the same time. HA. It was pretty fun…tried out a new place called Kobain. I liked it because it was not super crowded and the music was pretty good. There are pictures of Saturday up in the Photo section, of course. Friday I have no pictures, but Friday was festive, too! There was a happy hour for Firas’ last day…sad!!! He will be missed! My camera was dead, though. Boo. The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful…chilled mostly, which was GREAT. Hope everyone has a good week!

…but I am so sick of the rain!! I LOVE rain…but six weeks of nothing BUT rain is quite enough, thank you!! Wow. It has rained 3 separate times already, just today. Insane. At least it has not started flooding in Houston yet…*knock on wood* It is so dreary when you look out the office windows. Yuck. And the darkness makes the offices seem even colder than they are already are. Kristin and I have actually had our heaters on this week, which is really crazy considering it is JULY. Wow. Anyway…I thought the Astros were going to have a hot streak, but looks like it is going to keep going up and down the rest of the season. Hopefully the All-Star break will provide some much needed rest. At least Oswalt got in! That was cool, if only because I could stop voting over and over again online for him to get in on that “Final Vote” contest. HA.

This has definitely been a weird week. Sometimes it has felt super long, and on other days super short. That is what happens when you have Wednesday off! I feel like I have not been home in forever, which I KNOW that I have. Looking forward to cleaning and chilling this weekend. Along with celebrating Elodie’s birthday. Whoo-hoo! Birthdays rock. So if anyone wants to go out on Saturday, let me know. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

…has been crazy busy. On one hand that is a good thing, and on the other, I am still tired!! Friday before last I went out with Gino and Elodie, which is always a blast. Then starting with Monday became super busy…with the Lt. Governor luncheon on Tuesday and the B2B game on Thursday. Penny did awesome with that one…this year seemed to go so much better than the years before. Even less chaos in the ticket cages. Of course, the most important part of the game was Biggio hitting his 3000 hits. And we can all say we were there! It was a blast. I have not gone to many games this year, but the few I have gone to have been so much fun. It is hard to even describe how it felt to be there and see Biggio accomplish such a huge feat. I must admit that my favorite part was when he pulled Bagwell out there. I could not stop jumping up and down. I actually stopped taking pictures for a moment because I was so excited I forgot I had my camera. Smooth, huh?? The night was good even though when we were leaving I realized I had no keys and we spent 30 minutes tearing around Minute Maid to try to find them. I had left them out in the damn ticket cages. Stupid! Ooh…and I got my new phone this week! I freakin love it. I can actually hear on it, and it is so easy to text with the full keyboard. And I got to give Gino his phone back. I appreciate the use of it, but I was SO glad to give it back!

This weekend was good…two birthday parties. Lydia’s was hilarious…I love going to karaoke, even though I do NOT sing. And then Leah’s on Saturday. AND I even got to see Summer this weekend. That was awesome. Even though Lydia and I were fighting over who misses her the most!! I win, Lydia!!! Anyway…there are four sets of photos up…I have been kind of slow! Hope everyone has a good week! Don’t drown!! Haha…
