They are saying this should be over by Christmas. Even though I support the strike, I have to say…Whoo-hoo! I know my grandparents will be glad when Young & The Restless isn’t in reruns anymore. 
And I will be happy if it doesn’t interfere with Lost coming back on!!

I have been comletely lazy about posting anything new lately. Things are just so busy right now. Holiday time is like that for everyone, I know. Hope everyone is doing well!!

I really don’t think I mind this. I have been saying for two years that Lidge needs a change of scenery. Well, and therapy, but that is a different issue. I really think he could be a good, solid closer again if he could just get out of Houston. Too much emotional drama here! It wasn’t even that he was bad…it was just that when he messed up, it was a BIG mess up. And I think that those times were things that were hard for him to get over. I don’t blame him…at least he kept trying and going out there and trying to be good again. So good for Lidge…I wish him the best!

It is that time of year again…busy fall time! The past couple of months have passed so quickly. It is crazy to think that Thanksgiving (Summer’s fave holiday!) is just in two weeks. It feels like we were just in August yesterday. Everything gets so busy this time of year. There is always something going on; even work is insane. It is just hard to get used to after the lazy days and weekends during the summer. I don’t really have any thing specific to talk about, so here are some random thoughts from my recent life…
1. Baseball! Even though baseball on TV is over at the moment, baseball on Saturdays has picked up again. Just nice to be outside. The weather has been beautiful lately. MLB Power Pros is pretty damn cute, too!
2. Halloween candy on clearance. Most people know that I despise Halloween. Seriously. DESPISE. But…the one thing I do appreciate is chocolate being 75% off at Target. Which translates to about 50 cents a bag. How can you pass that up?? It also gives me something to put in the bowl in my desk.
3. The Cat vs Tree debate. I cannot decide if I want to put my Christmas tree up. Caesar has been really good since his declawing. (Despite what Jenny says) I still don’t know if I am brave enough to put up the tree. I skipped it last year because by the time we were moved in and unpacked and organized it was just too much trouble to pull the tree out. I kind of missed it. We shall see!
4. I am not ashamed to admit that I actually like Britney Spears’ new cd. I know, I know…I should be! But it is just an album full of dance tracks…who doesn’t like a good beat?? No cheesy ballads, so she stuck with what she can actually handle. Seriously…it jams.
5. I hated Spiderman 3. I finally watched the entire thing, and I thought it was bad. Really bad. Nothing compared to the first two. *sigh* Glad I didn’t waste money to see it in the theater!!
6. I love Basecamp. GREAT creation. I am addicted, and have been referred to as a basecamp slut. Which is not entirely wrong!
7. Planning weddings is too much. I swear I am going to elope. Take my parents, his parents, any siblings, maybe a couple of CLOSE friends and be done with it. The same with baby showers. Although at the moment my friend Penny is making me swear off ever having children. She is miserable!!
8. The writers are on strike. Which is crazy…shows are going to start going into reruns after November. I rarely get to watch anything during the regular schedule, but I watch most of my shows online. I just hope this doesn’t mess up Lost’s new season too much. On a greater scale this will probably just mean more reality TV…YUCK. At least Blanca and her DVR will be happy.
9. I think I am obsessed with Buffy. I still want the complete series on dvd. And I have even gotten into the season 8 comics. Super nerd!
10. Picross and Zelda may be the two best games on the DS. EVER.
11. Is it baseball season yet????
