This is me trying to work from home with my oh so helpful assistant! For some reason he loves to have his paws on the MacBook Air trackpad. *sigh*
I love tball! And these are my favorite twinkies. And they know who “Aunt Jill” is now! They also love to say “cheeseeeeeeeeeee!” and take photos.
These are the two season finales I have seen so far.
CASTLE:
I noticed more about this one on second viewing. First, I really really liked the way they handled the Beckett/Castle relationship. Even the convos in this last episode of the season. I thought it was a little more realistic than other shows because she didnt just fall down and say “oh thank you!” when he told her he loved her. She called him out on his crap! You go, girl. I know Nicole didnt enjoy the bad guy part of the story. He didnt bother me AS much. I didnt even really pay attention to him the first time through, but the second time I thought the fight scene was HORRIBLE. I mean, he didnt even have any lines for what felt like a 10 minute fight scene. And Im still confused about why they really want to kill Beckett. I mean, I know if she found out what was going on, she could expose the Big Bad or whatever. But she has no clue. Whatever. I do like that actor, usually. But thought this was an awkward character. Only negative. Unlike last year’s season finale, which pretty much RUINED the entire season for me because they made some character choices that came out of left field, I thought this episode was a good ending to what had been building all season!
NEW GIRL
- I am so so so so glad they didnt put Nick and Jess together. That would have been horrible, and I probably wouldnt have watched season 2.
I definitely havent jumped on THAT bandwagon yet. Nick is my least favorite character, actually. I do think some parts of this episode were super awkward and just a bit too much….although I havent said that since the first few episodes of the season. But that whole thing where she scared off a coyote? WTH was that?? I did love the ending, though. Thought it was hilarious and completely suited to the storyline and show.

Whoo hoo! It is May Sweeps and season finale time. One of the best times of year for a TV nerd like me.
Also, season finales mean that summer shows will be back soon. AWESOME.
I double-check my TiVo to do list every day to make sure I am not missing anything.
I spent MOST of my weekend down in Pearland.
Friday I had sushi with Blanca and Theresa and Cassie…which is amazing because Blanca would NEVER eat sushi before.
Then I went to run, which is always an adventure!
Saturday morning I got up early and headed down to the Salinas Twinkies t-ball game. Is there anything cuter than kids playing t-ball?? It was super hot, though, so their attention spans ran out a little sooner than I bet they do usually. Joseph wanted to pick the flowers in the outfield for his mommy.
And I LOVE that one of them is right-handed and one is left-handed….although Marilyn says they should just go ahead and force both of them to be left-handed. Ha. Now THAT is a baseball mother.
I ended back up at their house to have breakfast, which was so FUN. They actually seem to kind of know who I am now, and are less hesitant about playing and talking to me. Which is good since I will be babysitting in a couple of weeks.
Since I wasnt going to head to Jorge’s until late, I went to Kristin’s for the afternoon. We headed to Floyd’s to eat and drink for a bit and then went to get pedicures. That was such a good pedicure I know I passed out more than once. Great massage! We were SUPPOSED to be shopping for outdoor furniture, so after grabbing sno-cones, we made a pass through Wal-Mart. Quick!
Headed to Jorge’s around 6 after watching the Derby. That was exciting. I love seeing the post parade. Such gorgeous animals! I just always pray none of them get hurt.
Played some fun games at Jorge’s….even if Daniel did win! Then watched the fight. I swear Bieber was TRASHED. And who in the hell told him it was a good idea to hang out with the wifebeater??? Ugh.
Sunday had lunch with the parents and attempted to do laundry. Not that successful.

*sigh*
Monday I turned my alarm off and didnt realize it. But was still only 30 minutes late to work, so I almost consider that a WIN.
Tuesday I tried to go to lunch with Cristina and got pulled over by a cop on a horse for expired registration.
Wednesday I stood in line to get my registration. This woman that worked there made me get in a separate line to “save time” and I ended up waiting an extra 20 minutes. Plus had to pay an extra $10 since I had gotten a ticket for lack of registration.
My hair cut lady also went up in price.
Also, Thursday morning I have a dentist appointment at 7:30. Because that was the ONLY spot they had for two weeks. And I HAVE to go to the dentist. *sigh*
Hopefully Thursday is better.
Update: Thursday I ended up at a HH where a former coworker that I have never even been friendly with decided to sit next to me and completely trash my former coworkers and FRIENDS. As if I wouldnt let them know. Are you mental?
Then a douchebag in a Rolls Royce pulled out in front of me, proceeded to flip ME off, and then pumped his brakes for the next 3 blocks and watched me in his rearview. Ass.
My dentist appointment Thursday morning at freakin 7:30 in the morning did go well. But I always have awesome teeth! *knock on wood*

Im getting road trip fever! Which is perfect timing.
On the books and/or being planned:
- Trip to Austin! WAY OVERDUE.
- Trip to Schlitterbahn: Dates are SET. Whoo hoo! Can I lose 50 pounds between now and the end of June?? Jeez
- Not a road trip, but work trip to Boston in June. Double Whoo hoo! I freakin LOVE Boston. *sigh* When I win the lottery I will have a condo there.
I dont know how I will handle the winters, though. *shiver*
The trip to Austin will include stopping by the best baseball academy EVER…the one and only Baseball Chi, of course.
And maybe seeing Penny and Madi!
Also, I REALLY want to go to Ireland in 2013. REALLY REALLY REALLY. In early spring or so.

Im actually really excited about this: http://blog.chron.com/newswatch/2012/04/dunkin-donuts-announces-plans-for-16-new-stores-in-houston/
Not that I eat donuts all the time or anything, but I grew up with Dunkin Donuts and not Shipley’s. Dunkin Donuts was always a treat when we went to Beaumont – it was on the same side of town as the doctor’s office. And so we always got to have donuts after a doctor’s appointment. Ha! They also have really good coffee now. So that is cool! And damn it. Ever since I read that article I have wanted donuts.
Mental, mental, mental!
