How awesome is that???? Mary Lou Retton!!! We got to meet her at a luncheon on Thursday honoring Bela Karolyi! It was probably the most entertaining event we have ever had here. He is HILARIOUS. At some points he had us laughing so hard we had tears trying to come out of our eyes, and then in others we were teary-eyed for different reasons - like when he talked about Mary Lou. It was great! There are more photos in the photo section. I, of course, had to remind Marilyn about how I never did get the Mary Lou leotard for gymnastics when I was five. *sigh* So deprived!

 P.S. I got to watch this yesterday because I have CABLE now! WHOO-HOO!

The Soiree this year was GREAT. I must say, we all looked awesome with our matching outfits! Even though I didn’t really want to say I was a stewardess. Ha. I had to keep telling myself we were supposed to be from the 40’s and 50’s, so not to be so feminist.  I am adding more photos as I collect them from people, but mine are already in the Photos section. Kristin keeps saying it felt boring, but all of the staff so far seemed to have a GOOD time. There were definitely more people on the dance floor after 11:30 than last year. Last year it was just about five of us! All staff! So sad. More people also went to Monarch this year, too, so that was fun. The only thing I wish I hadn’t missed were all the dancers. I really wanted to see the Celtic girls. Their costumes were great…so much detail. The guys all liked the belly dancers, of course! I may have to get Cristina to go with me to that class at 24 Hour Fitness. The way they move is so weird. I stole some of Jorge’s photos…his were so gorgeous! Always does such a great job, especially since events like this don’t have much lighting to work with.

Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween…I spent mine at Lauren’s house, where I ended up exhausted from the hundreds of trick-or-treaters. I don’t think I really believed Lauren about how crazy it gets in her neighborhood. She was a GREAT Hannah Montana, though. I just forgot to take pictures!

And congratulations to Cassie…who got to meet Carrie Underwood this weekend. She was super excited!

I am surprised the Phillies won game 1 of the World Series. I really don’t have any valid points for that feeling, I just really thought the Rays were going to be hotter than that. Especially with the long rest the Phillies had. I also cannot decide which one I want to win. Since the Phillies are one game up I will probably go for the Rays. I always want the comeback to happen.

Lauren came back from Brazil yesterday, too, so that is good! You can definitely tell she is back in the office.
