RANDOM MUSINGS

This was AWESOME. I randomly got to go to this yesterday at the George R. Brown, and it was great! Once I got there and saw the flow of the day I was upset I had missed part of the morning. Even though I missed it because I was being productive and working at the office! Ha! I already want to go next year. The funniest part is that I found out last night that my dad had been at the GRB for a meeting the entire day!

P.S. The Rays were embarrassing last night!! Come ON. They deserved that loss.

Whew. My event with the Gov is over. FINALLY. Today was a super long day. I didn’t even get to eat until 2:30. It went well on the outside, though, which is what counts. I also ran into a fellow Warren high grad…Adam, who is on the governor’s staff. Pretty random!

Okay, it is only Wednesday…hope we all survive the rest of the week!!

I need someone to explain to me why the JONAS BROTHERS are going to be playing during halftime of the Cowboys Thanksgiving game!! COME ON. Of all the musical acts in the world, I have to sit through the Jonas Brothers?? I don’t get it.

The Texans finally win, but the Cowboys lose…BOOOOOO. And Romo broke his pinky and will be out for four weeks!!! Sucks. I hope he can play in the Thanksgiving game!!

Congrats to the Texans, though…

I cannot believe it is already October. My big membership meeting is already next week, and it seems like I have been just in the planning stages forever. Annual meeting is already just around the corner. I guess time is just going by so quickly because I have been so busy. I almost feel like I haven’t been home at all. Not that I am complaining, I have been having a lot of fun. Even when Abby is being a bad influence and forces me to shop! Ha. Also, I really need to start packing. I even have boxes in my car…I just haven’t gotten a chance to get them out yet. This weekend my tentative plan is to get a bunch of that done. Ha. We shall see. I have started throwing away. That is the best part. I also need to take books to sell. I have way too many. I only say that because I only have so much shelf space, and I ran out of that a long time ago.

I know this is late, but I am still excited that the Cubs got swept in the first round of the playoffs. I’m also tired of hearing about how long it has been since they won a World Series. Poor poor Cubs….well guess what…the Astros have never won a World Series!! Kind of hard to solicit pity for that one.

I really don’t have a commentary on this one. I wasn’t there, so I can’t say which side will prove to have been out of control. We shall see.  I hope it all turns out okay, though!

Our yearly golf tournament always means a long day - from 7:30 in the morning to after 8 at night. The day AFTER seems to be worse, though. That is the day that is really exhausting. Probably because we actually have fun during the tournament, and the soreness and tiredness doesn’t hit until the next day! At least this year the weather was absolutely gorgeous. And there were enough carts that we could ride around and see what all was going on. AND make multiple stops at the VT2 hole.

FINALLY. This has been a LONG week. Astros game, goodbye happy hour, Grey’s Anatomy, crazy work week, and now my poor WAMU! Boo.

Seriously…the amount of gas being wasted sitting in traffic due to red lights still being off almost makes it not worth going to work. One red light works, then the next two don’t….I live 15 minutes from work, and it took me well over an hour to get home today. Come ON!!!!!! It also isn’t safe…never mind how annoying. People start acting stupid and blocking traffic or running through intersections. Which I will never understand because once you get through the intersection, you are unable to go anywhere beyond that! All the cars in front of you are stopped, too! *sigh*
